Private Contest Terms and Conditions

The Motley Fool is pleased to provide you with a platform to conduct your stock-picking contest (the “Contest’). By using our platform and services (collectively, the “Services”) you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions. We may modify these terms at any time and your continued use of the Services means that you accept any new or modified terms.

1. In order to organize or participate in a Contest, you must be a registered Fool.com member. Therefore, all Contest organizers and participants are subject to the Fool Rules, CAPS terms and conditions and Fool Privacy Statement, all of which are incorporated herein by reference.

2. You may use the Services for personal, non-commercial and lawful purposes only.

3. By making use of the Services, you agree that:

  • You are solely responsible for all content you post, transmit or otherwise make available via the Services.


  • You will not take any action that imposes an unreasonably or disproportionately large load on our infrastructure or disrupts the functioning of our systems.


  • You will access the Contest only through the link or interface provided by The Motley Fool and not by any other means.

4. All rights, title and interest to the Services remain the property of The Motley Fool and except as expressly provided in Paragraph 2 above, no other license or right is granted.

5. All entries become the property of The Motley Fool. The Motley Fool reserves the right to use any and all information related to the Contest, including submissions provided by the particpants, for editorial, marketing and any other purpose, unless prohibited by law.

6. The Motley Fool, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person in violation of its rules or otherwise suspend, cancel or terminate a Contest. Entrants agree to release The Motley Fool from any liability resulting from, or related to participation in a Contest.
