WR Hambrecht + Co Initiates Coverage of eOn Communications (EONC) with Market Outperform

Linux communications server and software provider projected to capitalize on early-mover status

San Francisco, CA, February 29, 2000

WR Hambrecht + Co, the online investment bank, today initiated research coverage on eOn Communication (EONC) with a Market Outperform rating. WR Hambrecht + Co’s analyst Johnny Svoren cited eOn’s early-mover advantage and relatively discounted valuation as well as projected growth of the integrated voice/web customer service market as key reasons for the rating. WR Hambrecht + Co offers all its research reports free and real-time at www.wrhambrecht.com.

"We believe eOn’s unified voice and Internet communications servers positions it with a significant market opportunity in its focus on Web-enabled customer contact centers and enterprise communication needs," Svoren said.

Svoren projects eOn’s total revenues will reach $58.7 million in FY2000 and $77.8 million in FY2001, up from FY1999 total of $53.7 million.

eOn Communications designs, develops and markets next-generation Linux communications servers and software which integrate and manage voice, e-mail and Internet communications for customer contact centers and other applications.
